Have you got a Minute for a Necessary Evil?

That does not sound like a lot of fun at holiday time, but those who begin gathering their financial records for 2017 now will rest more comfortably as March and April of 2018 approach.  We reference those two months because that is when tax returns must be submitted to the IRS.  It is March 15th for corporations and April 16th next year for individuals.

If you are a small business owner it is entirely possible that your record-keeping leaves something to be desired.  Who wants to rush around in January and February putting all of the paperwork together?  Why not get a head-start on the task?  That sounds like a plan!  This is a New Year’s resolution that you can put into play now.

Las Vegas CPA Mike Mathews can also prepare financial statement compilations and reviews for your business.  And…while he is at it, he can also prepare compiled and reviewed personal financial statements for individuals.  When you are ready, Mike Mathews is at 2620 Regatta Drive in the Northwest.  Make your 2018 appointment now by calling (702) 240-5237.

It’s Tax Time!

Whoa, wait a minute here.  It is only mid-November tax time is not until April 15th or thereabouts…right.  Not necessarily!  There are tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and trusts.  What category do you fall into?  Maybe it is more than one of those.

One thing is certain, the earlier that you gather your records together and prepare to have a top CPA roll up his sleeves and go to work for you the better.  Americans are notorious for procrastinating as it pertains to tax preparation.  Somehow, we think that the task will be postponed if we keep putting it off.  Then we find ourselves scrambling at the deadline!

Why would you put yourself through that AGAIN in 2018?  Now is a great time to reach out to Mike Mathews to make an appointment as early as possible in the new year.  Get that resolution out of the way now.  Call personal and business Las Vegas area CPA Mike Mathews for an appointment at his beautiful Regatta Drive office (702) 240-5237.
